Hannah Chapman, Curator
Hannah Chapman is a visual arts teacher and curator of artist-led educational projects. She prioritises inclusiveness, providing access for participants in both gallery and classroom settings. Hannah has extensive experience collaborating with established artists, delivering innovative modes of educational engagement. Hannah’s numerous and sustained projects have led her to understand the Gallery as the ideal site for deep and real learning about and making art and its potential to inform our identity and how we live.
Accompanying her curatorial projects, Hannah has gained expertise as a teacher with detailed knowledge of the NSW secondary school curriculum.
She started teaching in 2006 at Hills Sports High School, then Burwood Girls High School, Queenwood and has been at Newington College since 2012. She was the recipient of the NSW Premier’s COFA/Sherman Teacher Scholarship in 2012.
Catherine Harbuz, Administrator
Catherine is the Visual Arts Administrator at Newington College and in recent years has contributed to the complex operation of Concordia Gallery as an exhibition assistant. She has a passion for the arts and public programming and brings practical arts administration experience to the Gallery team. In 2016 Catherine completed a Master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Art from Christies in London, and has since worked in arts administration roles in various galleries including 4A Centre for Contemporary Art, Gallows Gallery and Gillie and Marc Gallery. She is committed to expanding arts inclusivity through assisting with the Artist in Residence program at Newington College
