2024 IB Results
On Tuesday December 17, across the Southern Hemisphere, students received their results for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Congratulations to our IB Class of 2024. They have achieved excellent results, and we applaud their effort and determination over the past two years.
We commend every student who sought extra feedback and acted on advice, who completed practice papers, who didn’t give up when the learning was challenging, or when balancing priorities became tough. These are the attributes that set our Newington College students up for life.We are delighted to share the highlights below.

From our 2024 Senior Prefect
Avanesh Sri Ganeshwaran
One of the best tips I received going into Year 12 was ‘be sure you use all the resources available like past papers, exemplars, and practice questions to develop the skills and practice for exams and assignments’.
Juggling everything in your final year can sometimes feel difficult but this advice really helped me. So did spending time with my teachers one on one to make sure I had gained a solid understanding of all the content.
It was also important to me to balance my commitments by maintaining perspective and trying to be as effective as possible with the time I had available to me. I am hoping to do a degree in Law or Commerce/Finance so I think these skills will help.
I was Senior Prefect this year, and I would say the best part of leading Newington this year was seeing our community come together to support each other and causes. Whether it was supporting at sport, being a part of mental health initiatives or taking part in larger community service activities such as The Salvation Army’s Red Shield, it was wonderful to see the impact Newington students could make as a larger collective.
I also made a point this year of maintaining key aspects of my social life with both family and friends. This meant I always had something to look forward to, and work towards.
Please join us in congratulating our students on a wonderful year of achievements!
