Newington College

About Newington

Newington is a comprehensive K-12 day and boarding College. We are one of the six founding members of the GPS - an alliance of independent boys’ schools in New South Wales. In 2018 our Early Learning Centre for boys and girls opened.

Newington College was founded in 1863 under the Wesleyan Methodist Church. The aim was to establish a school that would provide students with a modern liberal education.

We are over 160 years in the making and as a Uniting Church school, we offer high quality education and a diverse co-curricular program to primary and secondary school students.

We are a proud member of the Great Public Schools Association – an association of boys’ schools in New South Wales.

The Strategic Plan for 2020-2024 outlines some of the goals and mechanisms we have in place so we continue to thrive.
