Governance
Newington College was founded in 1863 under the Wesleyan Methodist Church. The aim was to establish a school that would provide students with a modern liberal education.
We are over 160 years in the making and as a Uniting Church school, we offer high quality education and a diverse co-curricular program to primary and secondary school students.
We are a proud member of the Great Public Schools Association – an association of boys’ schools in New South Wales.

Our vision and strategy for the future is simple. We are a restless school eager to continually improve the way we motivate and encourage our students, staff and community.
Our vision is to empower students to develop great hearts, inspired minds and strong wings, ready to make a positive contribution to society and the future.

Our 160 Year History

The Uniting Church
Living with Christian values is fundamental to the way in which we build our community and provide education to students. We are affiliated with the Uniting Church and welcome students and families of all religious denominations and cultural backgrounds. Newington College embraces each individual’s unique intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs. Students are encouraged to know themselves and to discover their place in God’s world.
