The opening of the Newington Early Learning Centre marks an exciting new chapter in Newington’s history. Early childhood education for 3- and 4-year-old boys and girls offers our College a privileged opportunity: to ignite each child’s curiosity, extend their unique interests and provide a valuable platform to help them build a lifelong love of learning.
Our beautiful, purpose-built centre was designed with early childhood learning experts and incorporates educational play areas, quiet zones and outdoor spaces to excite inquisitive minds. Our educators encourage unique interests and learning patterns, and provide customised programs for each child strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Their dedication, enthusiasm and genuine love for children creates an environment where every child feels valued and respected.

Our Inner City Early Learning Centre
The Early Learning Centre is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility for boys and girls. Located in the Inner City suburb of Stanmore, we are easily accessible by public transport and have the added advantage of being next door to Newington College's Wyvern House K - 6 Preparatory Campus.
Early Years Learning
The National Curriculum’s Early Years Learning Framework informs the foundation of our program. Our inquiry-based program is influenced by the philosophical approach used by Reggio Emilia preschools. It provides a well-balanced program of explicit teaching and child-led investigation, implemented thoughtfully and meaningfully. Our curriculum embraces intentional teaching, spontaneous learning and critical reflection. We aim to ignite curiosity and extend each child’s unique and genuine interests and wonders.
