Minds on Fire (Stage 3)
Minds on Fire – at the Critical Thinking Quarters, Newington College, Stanmore
Organised by the Centre for Critical Thinking and Ethics, this event presents an opportunity for like-minded Year 5-6 students from schools across NSW to get together for a day of collaborative inquiry. The sessions will be organised around a central concept, such as The Good Life, Fairness or Friendship. Students will participate in critical and creative small group conceptual activities and community of inquiry discussions, led by FAPSA-trained facilitators.
Pre-requisite to attending is that the accompanying teacher must have been through the Foundational Introduction to Communit of Inquiry training. This is the pedagogy being used in the sessions. Please see: https://events.humanitix.com/introduction-to-philosophical-community-of-inquiry-workshop
Please note:
- Organising teachers will assist throughout the day to run conceptual activities with mixed groups.
- This event is catered for teachers only; students must self-cater.
