Helping create Little Big Thinkers throughout our local community
At Newington College our aim is to empower our students to develop Great Hearts, Inspired Minds and Strong Wings, ready to make a positive contribution to society and the future. Central to this is teaching our young people to think critically.

As a lighthouse school for innovation in critical thinking, and an engaged and active participant in our local inner west and Sydney community, this week we are delighted to welcome nine to 12-year-olds from other neighbourhood schools to our two inaugural Little Big Thinkers holiday workshops. Each day we are welcoming 30 Little Big Thinkers from Years 4 to 6, who currently attend a range of public, Catholic and independent schools, to join us for a suite of collaborative dialogues, philosophical activities and art-making inquiries. One of the days is focused on ‘opposites’, and the other on ‘perspection and reality’.
