As we head to Italy this weekend for the Emilia-Romagna\u00a0GP the Formula One world is alight with questions.\u00a0After Lando Norris took his\u00a0maiden\u00a0win for McLaren\u00a0on his 110th<\/sup>\u00a0Grand Prix entry in Miami last time out,\u00a0the first time anyone has defeated Max Verstappen in a race he finished since Singapore last year, everyone is asking if McLaren can take the fight to Red Bull\u00a0in front of the Italian crowd and for the rest of the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\u00a0it’s\u00a0not just McLaren that\u00a0should be quick next weekend,\u00a0both Ferrari and the\u00a0reigning world champions Red bull are bringing\u00a0upgrades to the track.\u00a0Verstappen\u00a0was also\u00a0suffering\u00a0from floor damage\u00a0in the Miami Grand Prix\u00a0after\u00a0hitting the bollard\u00a0at the \u201cmicky mouse chicane\u201d\u00a0So we might not have a championship battle on our hands\u00a0just\u00a0yet, however the fight\u00a0should really heat up in the constructers battle for 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0place.\u00a0The McLaren looked to be the faster car throughout the race, with Norris\u2019 race winning car often the\u00a0quickest\u00a0on the circuit and teammate Oscar Piastri\u00a0in half upgraded machinery\u00a0fighting with the Ferrari\u2019s\u00a0until he collided with Carlos Sainz, giving him damage and taking him out of the points.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Despite\u00a0this Ferrari bring\u00a0major upgrades to race in front of their home crowd that should bridge\u00a0the gap that McLaren had formed but we won\u2019t really know until the cars hit the track\u00a0for competitive sessions.\u00a0The track seems to suit the McLaren’s strength of medium to\u00a0high speed\u00a0corners and the recent race win will encourage the team and their fans heading into the weekend.\u00a0Despite these upgrades, Verstappen in the\u00a0Red\u00a0Bull will probably a bit too far ahead with\u00a0high ranking\u00a0officials\u00a0within\u00a0the team such as Helmut Marko\u00a0saying that\u00a0they \u201care also bringing upgrades to Imola that [he] expects a lot from\u201d\u00a0Looking further back down the field, Mercedes are\u00a0also bringing upgrades to the race but not many are expecting anything close to the performance of the top three teams.\u00a0This race is a question mark that could dictate the rest of the season, but time will tell who is on the pace and if we could see some fighting at the front of the field.
