House Comp Day #1 2025 was an awesome day with activities like Four-Court Tennis, Table Tennis, Softball, Volleyball and Swimming. Mackay managed to bring it home and show all other houses how to play the day. This is definitely one of the best days of the school year for many students. However, this was the first House Comp Day for the new Year 7\u2019s. We have collated some reviews about the day from a few Year 7\u2019s to get their opinions on their thoughts and perspectives on the day and the culture.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. How did you feel house comp day went?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    A: \u201cPretty well, we came 6th, and I got to see all the competitive spirits of the houses.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. If you were to suggest an improvement, what would it be?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      A: \u201cMaybe for volleyball as we were waiting around for a while and only got to play two games, and a bit more advantages towards the Y7 & Y8 as it is hard to compete with the year 11 and 12\u2019s.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. What was your favourite sport?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        A: \u201cSoftball because everyone got a go, and it was very satisfying when you hit the ball well.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. If you were to rank house comp day out of 10, what would you rank it?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          A:  8\/10  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          How was the school culture on House Comp Day? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \u201cI thought the school culture was pretty strong with lots of people really fighting for their house, trying to win.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          What was your favourite activity and why? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \u201cFor sure, table tennis. It was a nice change of pace from the other sports, and it had a similar dynamic to volleyball where everybody was contributing to the team.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          What are you most looking forward to for the next House Comp Day? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s in the next House Comp Day, but I hope it is as good as this one was.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          What would you rate House Comp Day overall? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \u201cI think an 9\/10 because it brought together a big sense of community and showed off the school spirit.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Overall, the reviews were very positive, and we found that many year 7\u2019s loved the day.  The next house comp feels like an eon away, yet who will win this time? Will Mackay make it two in a row or will Tupou (the best house) rectify their placing and win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
