Book Review

The School for Good and Evil must be one of my favourite fantasy books. This novel is the first of a series of six and is set in the land of fairy tales. Soman creates an amazing world of classic heroes, villains and stories and adds an intriguing backstory to it. The fantastically thought-out characters inhabiting this world truly transport you into their shoes, their emotions travelling through the page, making it a stunning experience for the reader. The twist on classic fairy tales and an explanation to their origins make this novel just the more fabulous; if you’re looking for a book that will test your perspective and leave your head opened minded, then this Is the book you need.

The rest of the books in the series are just as good, if not better and I strongly recommend following through and reading them too because it will be worth it.

And after you have read the series, feel free to hop on Netflix and continue the experience by watching the awesome movie.

Happy Reading!
