Admissions Policy for Children & Grandchildren of Old Boys

Newington College prioritises registrations of children and grandchildren of Old Boys.

This policy was effective as of January 1, 2015. We encourage all Old Boys to register their child or grandchild as soon as possible to secure a priority placement on our Year Lists.

This policy was effective from the start of Term 1, 2015 and we encourage all Old Boys to register their child or grandchild as soon as possible to secure a priority placement on our year lists.

Due to the consistently high demand for places, the College Council endorsed a new admissions policy in 2014 to formalise priority status for Old Boys.

The Council has confirmed its commitment to prioritising registrations of children and grandchildren of Old Boys as long, as registrations are received in accordance with the following:

  • ELC and Kindergarten entry – registration and fee must be received and paid by the boy’s first (1st) birthday
  • Year 3, 5 or 7 entry – registration and fee must be received and paid by the boy’s first (1st) birthday

Unfortunately, due to the demand for places, if registration is not made by the relevant birthday, we cannot offer priority and the registration will be placed on the wait list for that year in chronological order of registration.
