Admissions for Old Newingtonians
Registration process
Due to the consistently high demand for places, the College Council endorsed a new admissions policy in 2014, effective from Term 1 in 2015 to formalise priority status for Old Newingtonians.
All Old Newingtonians who wish to register their child or grandchild to attend Newington College are encouraged to do so before the child’s first birthday to maximise the possibilities of entry at the desired intake year.
Other factors used for selection in the admissions process, in addition to date of registration and Old Newingtonian affiliation, are current siblings attending the College, reports reflecting good engagement, effort and behaviour and other information you provide showing the child’s character and capacity to thrive at Newington.
Unfortunately, due to the demand for places, if registration is not completed before the child’s first birthday we are unable to guarantee an interview for the desired entry year.
If a formal letter of offer is made to the child following interview, any ONU member enrolling their child or grandchild will receive a 10% discount on the non-refundable and non-transferable enrolment fee, currently set at $5,000.00 AUD.
