Through their studies, students continue to evaluate the influences of Latin on the languages, cultures, literature and traditions of other lands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main Topics Covered:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>PRELIMINARY COURSE (Y11)<\/strong><\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>HSC COURSE (Y12)<\/strong><\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Study of a range of extracts of texts in the original Latin and of&nbsp;Latin works in translation.<\/span><\/td><td><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Students study a prescribed prose and a prescribed verse text by looking at extracts in the original Latin and the work as a whole in translation.
