The course is very hands on and technical in nature, boys will get&nbsp;first-hand&nbsp;experience in all stages of the filmmaking process. They will work through&nbsp;a&nbsp;number of&nbsp;modules with each unit resulting in a short film. As well as these individual tasks the class will spend the year working together making their own feature film.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Filmmaking class offers students the opportunity to use professional,&nbsp;state of the art&nbsp;equipment and facilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While it is not replicated in any other subject Filmmaking will run alongside and integrate with the Year 8 English film unit and the \u201cCine-arts\u201d and \u201cNew TV\u201d co-curricular programs. While there is connection between these activities the Year 8 filmmaking course stands alone and is the beginning of a pathway for filmmaking that runs throughout Stages 4 5 and 6. While it is not a prerequisite for any of the other opportunities available the skills techniques and understanding established in this course will&nbsp;complement&nbsp;the learning The course is designed to appeal to boys who have an interest in film and or television.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The teachers of this course all have experience working in the film and television industry and have developed\u202fthis course to be as much of a real-world experience as possible.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Course Content&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lights Camera Action \u2013 an introduction to filmmaking\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How do pictures move? \u2013 Stop motion animation\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How to make a\u00a0Music Video\u00a0\u2013 Editing basics\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who gets the credit \u2013 Titles and Graphics\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ever wanted to fly \u2013 An introduction to compositing\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lets\u00a0go live \u2013 broadcast switching and studio production\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why Study Filmmaking?
