Mandatory Courses Year 9-10
In Year 9 and 10 students will all complete:
- English
- Mathematics
- PDHPE
- Philosophy and Religious Studies
- Science
In addition, all students will complete mandatory courses in:
- History (Year 9)
- Geography (Year 10)
Please be aware that the content in the mandatory History and Geography courses is very different to that contained in the elective History and Geography courses. These mandatory courses focus on key skills and Australian contexts, and are common to all students in NSW. The elective courses offer students a deep-dive into broader topic areas within each of the disciplines.

Students are asked to choose three elective subjects (and two reserve subjects) in preference order.
